70% fewer HR queries after self-service went live.
Savanna Agritech processes tea and macadamia for export across Nyeri and Kericho. The two-person HR team was drowning in payslip reprints, leave-balance questions, and contract copies.
The problem
Savanna's two HR coordinators spent the bulk of their week on repetitive one-off requests: printing payslips, answering leave-balance questions, reissuing employment letters for visa applications, tracking down signed contracts.
The more staff grew (138 across two sites), the more of this 'admin as a service' work piled up — crowding out actual HR strategy and the Kenyan compliance work only they could do.
Why AnooreHR
The staff self-service portal was the unlock. Every employee got a login to see their own payslips, submit leave, download contracts, and update bank details. Approvals moved from paper to the HR dashboard with a full audit trail.
Kenyan PAYE + NSSF + SHIF computation came out-of-the-box. The 2026 SHIF transition (replacing NHIF) was shipped as a profile-pack update in January — Wanjiru's team didn't have to learn or configure anything new.
Staff can see their own payslips, request leave, and update personal info without emailing me. That gave me back two full days a week to actually do HR work instead of admin triage.
